Seraph of the End (Japanese: 終わりのセラフ Hepburn: Owari no Serafu) (also known as Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign) is a Japanese dark fantasy manga series written by Takaya Kagami and illustrated by Yamato Yamamoto with storyboards by Daisuke Furuya. It is published by Shueisha on Jump SQ and in English by Viz Media on Weekly Shonen Jump. An anime adaptation was announced on August 28, 2014. The first part of the anime premiered in Japan on April 4, 2015 and ended on June 20, 2015. The second part of the anime began airing on October 10, 2015.
The website Anime! Anime! held a poll from October 27-31 asking its readers which Fall 2015 series’ characters they would cosplay. A total of 286 people responded.
Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign topped the results, like due to the character’s snazzy vampire-fighting uniforms, this was followed by K: Return of Kings-, another anime with color-coded uniforms and Noragami Aragoto.

About Owari no Seraph
One day, a mysterious virus appeared on Earth which killed every infected human over the age of 13. At the same time, vampires emerged from the world’s dark recesses and enslaved mankind. Enter Hyakuya Yuuichirou, a young boy, who along with the rest of the children from his orphanage, are treated as livestock by the vampires. Even in captivity, Yuuichirou dreams big. He dreams of killing vampires. He dreams of killing them all.

Yuuichirou Hyakuya is a member of Japanese Imperial Demon Army’s Demon Moon Squad and the main protagonist of the Owari no Seraph series.He was abandoned by his parents since he was a child and he ended up at Hyakuya Orphanage. Since then, the kids of this orphanage were his only family. A bit after while he was still a child, the vampires took him and the rest of the orphanage to their city to become “livestock.” After Michaela gets possession of a map of the underground, both of them decide to escape the place with the rest of the chidren of the orphanage. However it is revealed that is was all a plan of Felid Bathory, one the Seven Founder, and the attempt to escape is frustrated leading to death of all the family except for him. After getting to the outside world he is found by Glen Ichinose, a captain of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. In order to take revenge for his family, he decides to join the Japanese Imperial Demon Army to gain the power he needs.
