What happens when a 17-year old high school student falls in love with the 45-year old manager of the family restaurant she works for? That is the story of Jun Mayuzuki’s romance manga, After the Rain, also known as Koi wa Ameagari no You ni. The manga currently has an ongoing TV anime adaptation, and is also getting a live-action movie. Now, the staff have revealed a new trailer for that upcoming film:
The movie stars Nana Komatsu as the 17-year old former track star and family restaurant waitress, Akira Tachibana. Playing her love interest, the 45-year old Masami Kondo, is actor Yo Oizumi. As the trailer shows, she is working hard to show her affections for him. It also previews its theme song, “Front Memory” by Emiko Suzuki and Seiji Kameda.
The movie itself will premiere on May 25, 2018. Akira Nagai is directing this manga-based movie, which also stars Nana Seino, Hayato Isomura, and Shono Hayama.
