Just like the cold January winds, the Winter 2015 anime season is now in full blast and Sony has unveiled which anime are doing well din their very first Tornado rankings for the new season.
These Tornado Rankings are the results gathered from people recording anime using the Torne devices in their PS4, PS3, PC, and PSVita. Here are Sony’s Top 20:

What?! Kantai Collection is number 1?! We are NOT surprised at all! The ship girl anime based on the popular PC browser game was popular even before the anime was even announced, and it taking the #1 spot in Sony’s initial rankings is not surprising at all.
Jojo at #2 is not surprising as the anime was one of the most anticipated titles for Winter 2015 in Japan. #3 ranked Saikano however has proven to be one of this season’s biggest surprises as the harem anime has pulled the rug from under heavy favorites like Tokyo Ghoul.
Several favorites also failed to even make the Top 10, and they are Assassination Classroom, Durarara, and iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls. However, for fans of these anime, do not fret as Sony’s Torne device is just one of the ways Japanese can watch anime.
