Dragon Ball Super is set to air in Japan in just a few short days on July 5th and new details on episode 1 have been revealed in the 31st issue of Shuiesha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine! In particular, those details are the episode title, timeline, and synopsis!

Dragon Ball Super episode 1 will be titled “Who Will the 100 Million Zenny Peace Reward Go To…?!” and it will take place six months after the battle with Majin Buu. The events of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods took place 4 years after the battle with Majin Buu, so one can assume Dragon Ball Super begins 3.5 years before Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. Based on the scan from Jump magazine, it seems like Goten and Trunks may have a side story on a weekly basis, unrelated to the main story. That’s just our guess anyways as the magazine mentions:
