10-DONQUIXOTE PIRATES
The Donquixote Pirates were a very powerful crew, as their captain was a world famous pirate, a member of the Shichibukai with a former bounty of 340,000,000 Berries and the ruler of the kingdom Dressrosa. Doflamingo himself, along with crew members (past and present) Bellamy, Trafalgar Law, Monet, Baby 5, Caesar Clown, Buffalo, Jora, Trebol, Senor Pink, Machvise, Violet, Diamante, Pica, Gladius, Sugar, and Corazon (in secret) were all known Devil Fruit users.
9-STRAW HAT PIRATES
Despite having a small number of members, the Straw Hats are a very powerful crew. Their captain Monkey D. Luffy has continuously defeated people who are renowned for their incredible strength such as Crocodile, Gekko Moriah, Donquixote Doflamingo, the highly feared tyrant Enel from Skypiea, Rob Lucci of the CP9 and Big Mom’s Sweet Commanders Charlotte Cracker and Charlotte Katakuri. The crew itself has done things which most would think impossible and completely insane like defeating an entire organization (such as Baroque Works, CP9 and the Donquixote Pirates), punching a World Noble, breaking in and out of the judicial island, Enies Lobby, and crashing the tea party of a Yonko. They have even managed to take one of Yonko Big Mom’s living weapons, Zeus, into their crew, as Nami’s willing servant and the crew’s new weapon.
Luffy’s achievements in Whole Cake Island were great enough for him to be unofficially titled the “Fifth Emperor of the Sea” with a bounty of 1.5 Billion Berries.
Following the battle with the Donquixote Pirates, the Straw Hats’ allies who participated in the battle organized themselves into seven divisions and formed the Straw Hat Grand Fleet which numbered a total of 5640 members, giving the Straw Hats significantly larger amounts of manpower similar to the Whitebeard Pirates.
8-BLACKBEARD PIRATES
The Blackbeard Pirates are one of the most powerful pirate crews that have been shown so far.
During the timeskip, after clashing with the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates led by Marco the Phoenix and emerging victorious, Marshall D. Teach usurped the status of the deceased Whitebeard as one of the Yonko. After the time-skip, they fought against the Revolutionary Army and destroyed their base. It is also stated that they briefly fought against CP-0.
Recently, the Blackbeard Pirates have become allies with the former marine admiral Kuzan, making them even more dangerous.
The Blackbeard Pirates have also been searching for people with strong Devil Fruit powers, in order to absorb them.
7-BIG MOM PIRATES
Captained by the Yonko Charlotte Linlin, the Big Mom Pirates are one of the four most powerful pirate crews in the world. The higher-ranking members of the crew are extremely proficient with Haki, as Cracker has extremely tough Busoshoku Haki while Charlotte Katakuri has Kenbunshoku Haki so advanced it allows him to see a little bit into the future.
The military might of the crew is immense, consisting of tens of thousands of homies and soldiers.
The sheer number of ships in the crew’s possession gives them considerable naval superiority over most pirate crews.
6-BEASTS PIRATES
The Beasts Pirates are led by the Yonko Kaido, making them one of the four most powerful pirate crews in the world. They were stated by the Gorosei to be one of the few entities capable of stopping Blackbeard and his crew.
The true strength of this crew lies in their Underworld connections. Due to Kaido’s alliance with Donquixote Doflamingo and Caesar Clown, they had access to SMILEs to help form an army of over 500 artificial Zoan Devil Fruit users. They also have access to Caesar’s poison gas weapons, which they used to destroy a city of Minks.
5-RED HAIR PIRATES
The Red Hair Pirates are an infamous and powerful pirate crew ruling in the New World, led by their captain, Red-Haired Shanks, who is one of the Yonko.
The best clue to the crew’s strength is that the World Government greatly fears what would happen if the Red Hair Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates joined up. Both Shanks and Whitebeard are among the Yonko. Right after their battle with Kaido in the New World, they sailed to Marineford in just one day. When Shanks and his crew finally showed up at Marineford, with words alone they were able to bring the war to halt. The captain was able to rescue Coby from Admiral Akainu’s attack with only a clash of his sword and even the arrogant Blackbeard refused to engage Shanks’ crew saying they simply were not ready to fight them yet.
4-GOLDEN LION PIRATES
The Golden Lion Pirates was a pirate crew led by Shiki the Golden Lion.
They managed to terrorize the entire sea with their largest fleet twenty-five years ago, and managed to gain an upper hand against the Roger Pirates. Roughly half the fleet was lost during the Battle in Edd War.
3-WHITEBEARD PIRATES
The Whitebeard Pirates were formerly one of the strongest pirate crews in the world, as their captain, Whitebeard, was the only pirate to have ever been a match for the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, in a fight.
Following the deaths of Whitebeard and Ace, the remaining members of the crew engaged the Blackbeard Pirates in the Payback War, which ended with the Blackbeard Pirates brutally defeating them, followed by conquering their former territories, with their captain usurping Whitebeard’s position in the Yonko. As a result, the crew has lost most of its power and influence.
2-ROCKS PIRATES
Rocks is a group of people who were extremely prominent more than 40 years ago and defined an era that lasted until Gol D. Roger’s rise to prominence as the Pirate King.
Not much is known about Rocks, especially among those who grew up after their time. They seem to have been powerful, given their prominence prior to Roger’s time and the fact that Garp could not imagine what the Marines would do if they came back into power. Garp is connected to them in some way, with Hina suggesting that he got the distinction of “Hero of the Marines” from dealing with them.
1-ROGER PIRATES
The Roger Pirates were the crew of the late Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, and were the only crew to ever reach Raftel, the end of the New World in the Grand Line.
The crew has been referred to as the strongest crew ever to sail the Grand Line and the New World. The few members that have been seen are amongst the most powerful pirates in the current storyline.
