ISIS suffers the wrath of the Japanese internet as they become the target of a new meme

When a video supposedly uploaded by the international terrorist group known as ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) threatened the Japanese government  into paying 200 million US dollars for the release of two Japanese hostages, one would think that it would cause an uproar in the country. Well, ISIS has certainly caused an uproar, but not one that you might think.

Yes, many in Japan were scared for the two men, however, many of Japan’s netizens have responded in kind to ISIS’s threats, as they featured the terrorist in various and awkward memes with the hashtag, #ISISクソコラグランプリ . The hashtag does not only feature memes from Japan, but all over the world as well. The meme has been quite controversial in Japan as many have said that people are taking the threat posted by ISIS too lightly.

Congratulations ISIS, you have just suffered the wrath of the internet, I guess this is what you get from messing with Japan.

All kidding aside, the terrorist group, which has taken control of several portions of Iraq and Syria, is still a major threat as they have beheaded people from all over the world and have reportedly killed hundreds in their wake. Their crimes are considered heinous and brutal and should never be taken lightly. The meme has been criticized by many in Japan and has been called imprudent and may even make ISIS behead the two Japanese nationals if they view the memes as Japan just taking them lightly.
