The Top 20 most popular female seiyuu of 2018 (so far) according to Charapedia

In Japan, voice actors, or seiyuu as they’re called, are treated like pop stars in their own right. Not only do they voice animated characters or provide the Japanese dub for foreign films, but also star in live-action films and drama, sing, have their own concerts, and even go on tour to visit other countries. Many treat female seiyuu more as idols in fact.

In their latest poll, Charapedia has asked 10,000 fans, 40.1% male, 59.9% female, to vote for their favorite seiyuu. This one would be the results for the female seiyuu, and the Top 20 includes:

19 – Youko Hikasa (High School DXD’s Rias Gremory)

18 – Yoshino Nanjou (Love Live!’s Eri Ayase)

For two years straight, from 2016 – 2017, Kana Hanazawa topped Charapedia annual seiyuu poll. However, this year, after voicing two “waifu of the year”-level characters in Hestia and Rem, as well as other famous anime characters, Inori Minase finally toppled the ever-popular KanaHana to take first place. As usual, Miyuki Sawashiro got second place, while the former poll-topper settled for third.

So, who is your favorite female seiyuu?
