Manga Entertainment has Tweeted that it will screen the One Piece Stampede anime film in U.K and Ireland cinemas on February 2 2020, with a website for the film at https://onepiecefilm.co.uk where visitors can sign up for ticket alerts. The film will be screened both in English and in Japanese with English subtitles.
One Piece Stampede marks the 20th anniversary of the anime inspired by Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece pirate manga. The film opened in Japan on August 9. In Japan, the film ranked at #1 in its opening weekend. The UK website gives the following synopsis.
The world’s boldest buccaneers set sail for the great Pirate Festival, where the Straw Hats join a mad-dash race to find Gol D. Roger’s treasure. There’s just one little problem. An old member of Roger’s crew has a sinister score to settle. All bets are off when the most iconic pirates of One Piece history band together for a swashbuckling showdown, the likes of which have never been seen!
As a huge One Piece fan from the UK and a Influencer, I feel it’s right that we are justified to having a cinema release for One Piece Stampede. I feel it is unfair that a lot of counties are able to enjoy going to the cinema to see it, whereas we in the UK missed out on Film Gold and are likely to miss out on One Piece Stampede. With that being said I am posting this hoping all us One Piece fans unite to show MangaUK, Funimation US and Toei Animation that we should be able to go out and enjoy our favourite series in the cinema. So please One Piece fans sign this petition and let’s get our beloved One Piece in our country!
