When one says “ecchi” in terms of anime genre, that means one should expect something born from desires and pleasurable dreams. After all, the genre itself comes from the first letter of the word “hentai,” which is “H,” meaning “pervert.” From that itself, you can get a general idea of what this genre is all about.
But although the said genre is different from hentai itself because it’s softer and milder, it primarily showcases sensual innuendos and soft-core “H” antics to entertain the audience. Most of the time, this genre mingles with various other genres, most prominently—comedy and harem. But, it can also blend with other genres such as drama and romance.

10. Kuroinu: Kedakaki Seijo wa Hakudaku ni Somaru
Synopsis/Plot Summary: Eostia, a land in which humans and the dark elves have been fighting over the rightful race for more than a century now. Monsters that have been ruled by the dark elves have been raiding human lands and defiling their women for generations. Until the all-powerful human mercenaries made an appearance, the dark elves have been fought off, but the mercenaries were not content with any of these victories, causing them to become violent. General Volt, a cruel leader of the mercenaries declared independence from both kingdoms and with the help of the savage orcs, this new nation attacks both humans and dark elves. Synopsis/Plot Summary: With marriage on her mind, Yuu Arahama’s girlfriend proposes that they get married.
