Top 50 Best Harem Anime Series Loaded With Ladies

You like harem series for reasons, like the “plot” and the “development” on of the characters. You need more harem anime in your life, like, right now. Maybe the stars align and it crossed over with the ecchi genre as harem anime so often does, but also maybe not. Maybe as long as the girls are plentiful, you are all set. If you are looking for harem anime recommendations for whatever lewd reasons, here’s a big ol’ list.

High School DxD

Average pervert Issei Hyoudou has done nothing productive with his life save for dreaming of attracting a harem. Things are looking up when a girl asks him on a date, but unfortunately she turns out to be a fallen angel and brutal kills him. However, he gets a second chance at life when a classmate (and devil) revives him to be her servant.

I mean, you have to start with the best, right? DxD is notorious for it’s busty visuals, but there is actually a half decent plot in there as well.

Outbreak Company

With parents that write light novels and draw eroge, Kanou Shinichi was born to be an otaku. One day, he finds himself transported to a fantasy world full of elves and dragons. In this world he is given a quest, not to fight monsters, but to become a moe missionary to teach everyone on the finer points of being an otaku.

While isekai harems aren’t particularly uncommon now, this was one of the earlier ones where the harem was the entire plot. No epic adventure, only many, many girls to teach about weeb things.

Mayo Chiki

Due to the females of his family’s love of wrestling, Kinjirou Sakamachi developed a strong body, but a fear of women. After a odd encounter in the bathroom, he discovers that the most popular student at his school and butler to the headmaster’s daughter is actually a girl. In order to keep this secret, the girl says she will cure his phobia.

In anime, a fear of females means they will immediately come at you with all they got. While not as lewd as it could be, this is one of the finer comedy harem series.

When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace

On one extraordinary day, the four members of the Literature Club and the faculty advisor’s niece suddenly find themselves with supernatural powers. Each amazed with their own abilities, they try to solve the mystery of them, but very little else has changed in the day to day activities of the Literature Club.

I recommend this series not so much because it is a harem (which it is), but rather because it is kind of an amazing comedy show. It is ultimate chunibyou fantasies made real, but with no clear threat to fight.

Heaven’s Lost Property

Since he was a child, Tomoki has always woken up in tears from a dream of an angel. Worrying for her friend, Mitsuki seeks out the obsessive sky maniac Eishirou Sugata who deems that this dream is a connection to the New World, a floating anomaly that baffles scientists. With both Tomoki and Mitsuki recruited into the New World Discovery Club, their lives are changed forever when a strange girl falls from the sky and begins to call Tomoki her master.

This is another classic entry for those that like their harem big in the bust and often in ecchi situations. It tries its hand at plot, but to be honest the only other thing I remember is the comedy.

Quintessential Quintuplets

As his family is in some serious debt, Fuutaro Uesugi is a serious penny pincher. However, his great grades have landed him a higher than normal paying tutor job. The problem is that his five wards, all sisters, are dumb as door nails and think he is a complete idiot. However, to get his pay, he has to think of a way to get these five unique girls to study and learn.

A newer entry to the harem genre, and it does the devious thing of dangling a potential marriage in the future to one of the quintuplets. They all look similar-ish, but with every type of personality covered.

Haganai

Kodaka Hasegawa is anything but a delinquent. However, because of his blonde hair and bad boy face, he has been labeled as such. When classmates shiver in your presence, it makes it difficult to make friends. Yet, when Kodaka meets Yozora, a girl that is perhaps a bigger outcast than him, the pair start the Neighbors’ Club. In the Neighbors’ Club, those without any friends are invited to join, but not all personalities may mesh well.

The suspension of disbelief is real in this club which was started in order to make friends with outcasts, only for it to be filled with beautiful and only slightly odd girls.

The Fruit of Grisia

Yuuji Kazami is a transfer student to Mihama Academy. He wants to live a normal life, but his new school is anything but. With his class consisting of a principal and five other students, Yuuji is posed to learn the truth about the academy and his classmates.

A new hot take on the harem. No small friend groups forming out of classmates, but rather your entire class being the harem. Despite that, this is one of those “every girl has a problem to be solved” show.

To Love Ru

All the timid Rito wants is to confess his love to a girl in class. However, things quickly become complicated when one night a naked girl comes crashing on him while he is in the bath. This girl, as it turns out, is an alien princess on the run and she wants to marry him to avoid a political marriage. Thus begins Rito’s endless days of struggle.

To Love Ru is yet another staple ecchi harem, but this time many of the girls are aliens that inexplicably just look like beautiful human girls. Don’t think too hard about it, enjoy the flesh.

The World God Only Knows

Keima Katsuragi is known as the “God of Conquest,” a man that can conquer any girl’s heart, at least in his dating sim games. However, when Keima arrogantly accepts an offer to prove his dating sim supremacy, he finds himself at the mercy of a demon that forces him to woo over real life girls.

This is a harem series with the interesting premise of “if all those dating sim strategies actually worked.” Probably won’t work on IRL girls, but we ain’t talking IRL girls here.

In Another World With My Smartphone

In a blunder, God accidentally strikes down Touya Mochizuki. As an apology, he allows him one wish and the chance to live again in a magical fantasy world. He accepts, and uses his wish to be able to keep his smartphone when starting over.

Knowledge is power in this isekai harem when you have a smartphone in your hands to help you navigate all the usual difficulties of a new world.

Asterisk War

Ayato Amagiri just got accepted to an elite academy for Genestella – a new breed of humans with amazing skill. Through duels at this school, the students learn to better control their powers. Unfortunately, due to some unfortunate peeping accusations, his new school life is off to a rough start.

To be candid, no one watched Asterisk War for the plot. They watch it for the “plot”.

Date a Live

Thirty years ago, an explosion devastated East Asia, killing over 150 million people. In the present day, such “spacequakes” are now a common occurrence. One day, Shidou Itsuka races to rescue his little sister from one such spacequake. However, when he is caught in the blast, he discovers a mysterious girl who turns out to be a Spirit. These girls are responsible for the devastation when they come crashing to Earth. However, when Shidou is rescued by an anti-Spirit team, he discovers it is headed up by his little sister. Recruited in and tasked with neutralizing Spirits with extreme force, Shidou discovers he can come to a more peaceful solution – making the Spirits fall in love.

This is perhaps one of the more interesting set ups for a harem series. Furthermore, it also has a fair bit of action as well as having a diverse group of girls.

Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time

Peter Grill is known throughout the land as the strongest fighter. He also has a girlfriend he is steadily getting closer with. Unfortunately, dozens of women have targeted him for his seed in order to bear strong children.

Now we have reached the silliest premise for a harem series. The entire thing is just various girls all wanting the main character’s D.

Absolute Duo

Individuals who can materialize weapons from their soul are called “Blazers,” and they attend Kouryou Academy High School in order to harness their abilities. However, each student needs a partner. Tooru Kokonoe hopes to attain this power after the death of his sister, but at the opening ceremony, he is forced to duel against the person sitting next to him, with the loser being expelled. As Tooru prepares to give the match his all, it is not a weapon that manifests from his soul, but a shield, an irregularity which catches the attention of a foreign student named Julie Sigtuna.

While there is more of a focus on the “duo” in this harem, you know a unique main character attracts all the ladies to the yard.

Infinite Stratos

After engineering powerful exoskeleton suits called Infinite Stratos, they have become a mainstream weapon. Since only women can pilot them, they have now dominated society. However, when 15-year-old Orimura Ichika accidentally touches one, he is found to be the only known man that can become a pilot.

While this is another “the main character is unique” set ups to a harem, I do particularly enjoy the comedy in this one, and it has some decent action as well.

The Testament of Sister New Devil

One day, Basara’s father brings home two beautiful girls and introduces them as his new siblings. However, it isn’t long before he learns that these two girls are actually demons. More specifically, the former demon lord’s only daughter and her succubus servant. Of course, Basara himself is a former member of Heroes, an organization sworn to fight demons. However, after developing feelings for them, he decides to protect his new sisters instead.

Another lewd staple in the ecchi harem genre. The harem is smaller, but they make up for it in lewdness.

Invaders of the Rokujyoma

After his father relocated, Koutarou Satomi moves into the Corona House’s Room 106 because it is cheap. However, after wandering into a cave at his part-time job, he finds his apartment invaded with mystical creatures that all lay claim on it.

When the synopsis up there says “mystical creatures,” what it really means is beautiful ladies. I’ll never say no to a series that has the normal main character plagued by weirdos, though.

Marksman and Vanadis

In fantasy Europe, war is brewing between the countries. One of the War Maidens known as Vanadis has recently launched an attack on neighboring rival Brune. Young archer and Earl in Brune, Tigre, has his army decimated at her hands. However in a twist of fate, she spares him and takes him on as a servant.

Harem, yes, but also has a pretty decent focus on battlefield strategy. Of course, all the major characters are basically one-person armies like they are in Dynasty Warriors.

Student Council’s Discretion

The student council of Hekyou Gakuen are all chosen by popular vote, so of course they are all cute girls. The only exception is Ken Sugisaki who managed to get a spot by being the top scoring student of the year. Now he spends his time trying to turn the student council into his harem while the girls focus on more important things like running festivals and driving Ken mad.

Usually the harem just sort of forms around the main character because he is awesome or nice. Not this time. This time he tries to put it together himself.

The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat

Youto Yokodera is what you would call a pervert. However, his lewd actions are misunderstood for good intentions. Learning of a cat statue that can help people get rid of an unwanted trait, he visits it. This trait is now transferred to someone who wants it. Unfortunately, voicing your dirty thoughts is not as big of a boon as he would have hoped and now he wants his old trait back.

Not as lewd as the title may suggest, but actually a fairly great comedy full of odd situations and characters.

Shuffle

Gods and demons coexsist with humanity after the door between each world was opened.Rin is a normal human high school student who suddenly gets two sets of new neighbors – the King of Gods and also the King of Demons. It turns out that both also have daughters that are in lvoe with him after meeting in the past.

Maybe I’m spoiled, but I like my monster girl harems to look like monster girls and not just… Elves. Still, it’s lewd. It’s got a lot of busty contenders. It will do you in a fix.

Demon King Daimao

Dreaming of changing the world for good, Akuto Sai transfers to the Constant Magic Academy, but his simple school life all changes when it is prophesized that he will become the fierce and evil Demon King. Although his school mates now fear him, Akuto will not let his destiny lead him off his path.

Yet another ecchi harem staple that is an absolute must for when you need your harems lewd and you need them now.

Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs

Yuragi-sou was once a hot springs inn, but is now a boarding house that only has a few residents. Rumor has it that the boarding house is haunted, and this rumor has attracted a homeless psychic that is hoping to exorcise the ghost in order for an affordable place to stay. However, he discovers that it is not a malicious ghost, but a ghost named Yuuna that all the other residents can see as well.

This one doesn’t actually sound like the set up for a harem, but that’s where it ends up since most people that live there are women. Yet, Yuuna can carry that show all by herself.

Monster Musume

With his parents abroad, Kimihito Kurusu is living the quiet alone life. Or rather, he was until an incompetent interspecies exchange coordinator made him the caretakers of a Lamia named Miia. With a supernatural creature now living in his house, it serves to not only break up his peace, but attract other supernatural beings as well.

This series probably woke up a lot of people to the particular kink of monster girls. It is on the lewder side of harems as well as the stranger side.

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord

In his MMORPG, Takuma boast overwhelming strength and was referred to as the demon king. However, one day he gets summoned to another world, still in the appearance of his character. There he discovers two girls that use the same magic he uses to turn others into slaves. However, due to his magic reflect skill, the spell was turned back on them.

The harem here is kept at a manageable size, and while they themselves are ample, there is a lot of scantily clad lolis in this particular show.

Campione

After 16-year-old Kusanagi Godou defeats the God of Victory in mortal combat, he is stuck with the position of Campione, or God Slayer. His job now is to defeat any Heretical Gods that try to muscle in. As if this wasn’t bad enough, he’s also attracted a bevy of female followers that are there to serve him in his duties.

You know how it be. Accidentally kill a god, inherit their powers, and suddenly women just show up on your doorstep to serve you. It is rather an interesting premise, but the harem of the show waters it down.

Sekirei

One day, completely useless college student Minato Sahashi collides with a beautiful girl named Musubi. She is a Sekirei, a powerful humanoid that descended to earth. She is fleeing from two of her own kind and suddenly kisses Minato to awaken her true power. Due to his special genes, Musubi asks Minato to stay by her side and fight in a survival game between the Sekirei. The winner gets to ascend to the higher sky, but the fate of the Earth might just hang in the balance as well.

This has a premise that might suggest it would not be harem, but here we are. As it turns out, the women in this series are nothing but Pokemon.

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches

Ryuu Yamada used to be a thug, but he wanted to change his reputation in high school. He went to a school where no one knew him, but by second year he was so bored that he became a slacker again. One day while on his way to the office, he trips and accidentally kisses a beautiful honor student. In a flash, they switch bodies and Ryuu is soon thrust into the world where a witches have their supernatural abilities awakened by kissing.

Wouldn’t it be easiest to simply… Kiss all the girls to see if they had powers awakened by kissing? But at what point does that turn into a criminal charge?

Is This a Zombie?

One night, Ayumu is killed by a serial killer. Just as suddenly, he is brought back to life by a necromancer. To further complicate things, he also accidentally puts on a magical girl uniform and gains her powers. While she searches for a way to get her powers back, he is forced to fight evil in her stead.

While it is technically a harem, this series is a much better comedy than anything else. The good news is that a comedy is really what it tries to be, and the harem is just there to serve that.

Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend

Tomoya Aki is your typical otaku who takes on part-time jobs to fund his anime and light novel obsession. However, one day when he was out riding his bike, he catches the beret of a girl and is so captivated by the scene before him that he sets out to create the ultimate dating sim. While he struggles to do so, he eventually recruits three of the school’s most popular girls, that also happen to be good at drawing, writing, and music as well as otakus themselves to help him create it. In this new doujin circle, he also happens across the girl that inspired him, but she was not what he expected and certainly doesn’t stand up to his 2D expectations.

This is actually one of the finer story-oriented harems since the main character doesn’t have much of an interest in most of his harem, the story has a main goal to achieve, and there’s a real reason for the girls to help him other than the standard weak harem reasons.

BokuBen: We Never Learn

In order to help his family out financially, Nariyuki Yuiga dedicated himself to becoming a high achiever in order to get a special nomination that covers future university fees. While he is constantly overshadowed by two other classmates in math and literature, he manages to get the nomination any with the condition he tutor these other students in other academic areas in which they are just mediocre.

Overshadowed at its premier by the similar Quintessential Quintuplets, this series is actually a lovely little harem romance series.

Maken Ki

Standard underachieving pervert Takeru Ohyama chose his new school because it doesn’t have entrance exams and it has recently gone co-ed. However, his hopes of a peaceful school life are disrupted when he discovers that everyone in school gets a special item called a Maken. This allows them to unleash magical abilities in duels. He also finds that his perverted nature puts him at odds with many of the girls.

What they save in the budget with plot, the made up for with jiggles. It’s a fan service harem, and for some people, that’s exactly what they want.

Freezing

Kazuya Aoi is entering his first day of training to become a Limiter, a man that works together with female Pandoras to fight the deadly alien invaders called Nova. During this fateful first day, he mistakes the power “Untouchable Queen” Pandora as his dead sister only for her to end up taking him on as her Limiter.

Freezing really doesn’t to anything exceptional with the harem sub-genre of battle beauties, but it does do fan service really well.

Trinity Seven

With the blink of an eye, Kasuga Arata’s town is reduced to rubble and he finds out that his life has been the product of an illusion that came from a powerful book of spells. When a witch comes to investigate the destruction of his town, she gives him the option to give her the book or die. He chooses instead to enroll in the Royal Biblia Academy, a top-secret magic school, alongside seven other beautiful witches.

I can appreciate that Trinity Seven didn’t give in with their main character. He wasn’t super dense, he wasn’t super OP, but he was super hilarious at times. In a sea of same-y premises, it was refreshing.

Rosario + Vampire

Due to his bad grades, Tsukune Aono was unable to get into any good high schools. However, at the last minute, he was accepted to Youkai Academy. Unfortunately for him, it is a high school for werewolves, vampires, and other monsters. With the help of a vampire and some other new girl friends that take a liking to him, Tsukune tries to hide his human status from his classmates.

I’m disappointed that the promised monster girls were just beautiful girls and not actual monsters. Manga fans were disappointed that this shoved in so much fan service.

Death March to a Parallel World Rhapsody

Suzuki Ichirou is a programmer for a game company, and in order to keep up with demands, he frequently sets his work pace to “death march” in which he works for days straight with little sleep and without going home. During one of these death marches, he falls asleep and when he wakes up, he is somehow transported inside of one of his games.

This is… A thing? I don’t really have much positive to say about it. He spends a a few hours in his new world, figures out he is OP, and attracts his first harem member from there purely because he is strong. It’s not particularly compelling, original, or even that lewd.

Hundred

When aliens known as Savage attack mankind, the only weapon capable of combating them is known as Hundred. After surviving a Savage attack, teenager Hayato Kisaragi is shown to have a high compatibility with this technology and invited to the Little Garden academy to hone his skills.

I believe the popular saying is that it is called Hundred because you have seen harem shows like it hundreds of times. Even still, it has some “plot” reasons that still attract viewers.

Redo of Healer

As a boy, Keyaru awakened the power of a Hero. His specialty was healing. However, by using these powers, he experienced the trauma of the injured person as well. It eventually drove him insane, but he was forced to use his powers anyway. After enduring torture and abuse by his fellow heroes for years, Keyaru formed a plan to get his vengeance. He was able to turn back time and restart his life with all his previous memories. Thus his vengeance began.

This is the new kid on the block who writes really edgy self-insert fan fiction about rape, torture, and using magic to make women think he’s neato.

Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle

Lux was the former prince of the previous regime that was overthrown five years prior. When he accidentally ends up in an all-girls bathing area, the current princess of the kingdom challenges him to a Drag-Riding duel. Lux used be one of the strongest riders, but has since become a joke since he now refuses to attack. Somehow, the results of this duel force Lux to join the all-girls dragon riding school to become a Drag-Knight.

You’d hope for dragons, but they offered you mecha instead. It’s nothing you haven’t seen before in ecchi harems, but it has different girls.

Blade Dance of the Elementalers

As a prestigious school for shrine princesses, Areishia Spirit Academy trains its students to be elementalists. In order to help with this, they form slave contracts with spirits to bolster their power. Up until now, only females have had this power, until average guy Kamito Kazehaya becomes the first man in 1,000 years to form a contract with a spirit.

You know, just your standard “a man can do this one thing better than all the girls around him” plot that totally means all the girls at the all-girls school absolutely want to be in his harem. They probably want to hold his hand too, those simps.

Shomin Sample

Kimito Kagurazaka is a common man who was kidnapped and brought to an elite all-girls school where he was to serve as a sample of common people to educate the girls. The catch is that in order to not lose his manhood, he must pretend to be interested in only men.

From the premise, it should be pretty obvious that this show is a comedy that just happened to end up as a harem.

OniAi

After their parents died, brother and sister Akito and Akiko were sent to live in separate foster families. Six years later, they are finally reunited and going to the same school. However, Akiko has developed a huge brother complex while Akito only sees his sister as a sister he must protect, yet that won’t stop her from trying to win his affections.

You would think little sis would have the “at home” advantage in this harem, but the rest of his harem ends up moving in as well. It actually ends up as one of the more hilarious shows.

Masou Gakuen HxH

Kizuna possess the Heart Hybrid Gear, but is not particularly strong. His older sister ends up dragging him to transfer to a special school, mainly inhabited by women, where he is trained to fight invaders.

Booba. Many, many Booba. It also has this little plot point that having an erotic experience with the main character will also power up the girls, so there’s that.

Nakaimo – My Little Sister is Among Them

After his father’s death, Shougo Mikadono is set to takeover his father’s company. However, this comes with one stipulation – he must find and marry a girl at his new school before graduation. While the school has no shortage of eligible candidates, he discovers that a girl in the school might be his long lost half-sister.

I’m not always the harem genre’s biggest fan, but this premise had me all in because its a twist I had not yet seen before. It is also a “twist” that some harem anime series wouldn’t see as a problem. Some harems are like, “Half-sister? No problem. Full sister, even less of a problem.”

The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter

Noir is the son of a minor noble. He was going to work as a librarian until the son of a higher rank noble took the position. He does have one special advantage – the use of an ability to consult a great sage. However, using it gives him terrible headaches. Discovering a way to lightly calm the headache, he consults the sage on how to move forward. The sage guides him to a secret dungeon where he meets a trapped powerful adventurer. She grants him her powers so that he can gain power and admission to a great adventurer academy.

Normal, average, not extraordinary except in that one way main character suddenly uses that one single way to become incredibly powerful and women of all shapes and sizes love him. It had an interesting start, but gets less interesting as it goes on.

Love Hina

After making a childhood promise with a girl who moved away, Keitaro is dedicated to getting into the prestigious Tokyo University. Unfortunately, he is hopelessly stuck failing his entrance exams. In order to continue trying, he moves out of his parent’s house into his grandmother’s inn to work as a manager. However, what he doesn’t know is that her hot springs inn is also an all-girls dorm.

While it is definitely showing its age, Love Hina is an older harem that uses those older tropes and comedy before they became so same-y. It’s got a few good laughs even if it lacks the shiny flesh of modern harem series.

Nyan Koi

With a serious cat allergy, Junpei hates cats. Unfortunately, he is surrounded by cat lovers. His family, his childhood friend, his crush – they all love cats. One day, he accidentally breaks the head off a cat deity statue and ends up with ability to understand cat speech. This also puts him on the path to do 100 good deeds for cats in order to lift the curse.

I do enjoy when harem series at least make the attempt to have a plot that isn’t tossing a harem at the main character and letting him mill about with it. Though, by reading the premise above, I feel like you can already guess many of the jokes.

Samurai Harem

Spending his young life in the mountains training his sword style with his father, when Yoichi Karasuma is sent to train at a dojo in the city, he finds his social skilles poorly honed. Combined with his poor understanding of modern socialization, he has to navigate living with the Ikaruga sisters at the dojo.

The whole schtick is that the main character acts like a samurai instead of a normal person, but that doesn’t really factor into much since his harem likes him because he is just super OP strong anyway.

If Her Flag Breaks

High schooler Souta Hatate has the ability to see visual novel style flags above a person’s head. As such, he has the ability to stop events from happening. Using such a power, he has prevented a few deaths, but after an event that lead to him being the sole survivor, he started to believe he was a curse. Things change when he enters a new school and his classmate Nanami helps him unravel the mystery behind the flags.

Honestly, if you want your harem with an actual good plot and don’t demand it is the most fan service-y thing ever, this is really quite a nice watch. It pokes a lot of visual novel tropes, so it has some fun comedy as well.

This… Ended up longer than I thought it would be, but we both know there is still more harem anime out there. If you have more harem anime recommendations, let fans know in comments section below.
