Luffy may not be attracted to Boa Hancock but he treats her as a very good friend. She was the one who saved Luffy after a devastating defeat against the Marines. She comforted Luffy when he thought he lost everything.
Boa Hancock’s love for Luffy is so great that she is willing to go against the government just to make sure her dear is safe. Though Luffy rejects each and every one of her marriage proposals, Boa Hancock still admire Luffy and continuously hope that they’ll end up with each other someday.
9. Hanamichi Sakuragi and Haruko Akagi – SLAM DUNK
Hanamichi Sakuragi knows nothing but fist fighting until he met Haruko Akagi. She is the school’s basketball team manager so he immediately directed all his attention towards the sport. Sakuragi’s main goal was to impress Haruko but he eventually loved the sport.
Though Haruko seems to be more interested to Kaede Rukawa, Sakuragi’s rival, our hero does not include giving up in his dictionary. He will continue to play basketball and impress Haruko until he captures her heart. Haruko is naturally sweet which is probably why Sakuragi often misinterprets her concern as a sign of love.
8. Uzumaki Naruto and Hinata Hyuga – Naruto
Uzumaki Naruto may not be as bright and promising compared to his rival Sasuke but his definitely lovable. He is honest, cheerful, and kind. Naruto will do everything possible to save his friends and fulfill his duties as a ninja of Konoha. This is probably what made Hinata Hyuga fell for him.
During Naruto’s fight against Pain, Hinata risked her life to help him while confessing how much Naruto means to her. It was a very sad but sweet moment. Hinata is shy while Naruto is very energetic which makes this couple a perfect proof that opposites do attract.
7. Uchiha Sasuke and Sakura Haruno – Naruto
It’s not a surprise that Sakura Haruno is attracted to Uchiha Sasuke. They live in the same village and grown up together. Sasuke is an achiever. 6. Itsuki Minami and Ringo Noyamano – Air Gear
Itsuki Minami and Ringo Noyamano both share the same passion which is A-T. It’s basically an inline skate which exciting features. This sport is lethal since A-T can be used as a weapon. There are several instances in the series where Ringo almost died after a run.
Nevertheless, Itsuki was always there to protect here. Don’t get it wrong because Ringo is not weak. She even almost killed Itsuki simply to protect him from further harm and to avoid conflict between their groups.
Though most of their sweet moments in the series originate from Itsuki’s perverted mind, their childish quarrels and funny conversations made this couple of the best in the anime world.
5. Kanou Kyosuke and Tsujiwaki Miki – Hungry Heart: Wild Striker
Kanou Kyosuke is an aspiring soccer player. He is a striker with exceptional talent. Nevertheless, he is overshadowed by his highly successful brother. He decided to quit playing the sport until he met Tsujiwaki Miki, a female soccer player. Her dedication towards the sport is far beyond anybody else despite the lack of talent.
Kanou decided to be their coach and taught Miki regarding the basics of soccer. In no time, Kanou find himself interested about the sport again. He regretted about all the time he wasted and joined their school’s soccer team for a fresh start.
The road was never easy. Nevertheless, Miki’s encouragement never failed to fill his heart with hope and spirit. They may not be vulgar about their true feelings but it’s pretty obvious. How they silently love and care for one another made this couple even more lovable.
4. Jellal Fernandes and Erza Scarlet – Fairy Tail
Jellal Fernandes was first introduced as Zeref, the infamous dark wizard. Erza Scarlet knew that it was all a lie since she knew Jellal when they were just kids. In fact, Jellal was her childhood friend as they were both enslaved. Way back then, Jellal promised to protect Erza at all cost.
Jellal saved Erza countless times. Thoughts about him encourages Erza to fight back and stand up against abrurdly strong enemies. They even nearly kiss during their first confrontation which is a clear indication of the deep affected towards each other they both share.
3. Kurosaki Ichigo and Kuchiki Rukia – Bleach
Kurosaki Ichigo and Kuchiki Rukia met each other in a dire situation. Back then, Ichigo’s sister was targeted by a Hollow because of her strong spiritual power which exceeds an average human. Ichigo couldn’t do anything about it until Rukia decided to share her shinigami powers.
Kurosaki Ichigo the substitute shinigami was born that day. Their friendship even grew deeper as they save countless spirits against horrifying hollows together.
Rukia was taken by his own brother and his childhood friend who is also a shinigami back to their world as a prison because of sharing her powers to a human. Despite the odds, Ichigo did his best to save Rukia from an impending doom and was successful.
He faced absurdly strong opponents and even risked his live in the process. Such act is more than enough to be considered an expression of undying love.
2. Yusuke Urameshi and Keiko Yukimura – YuYu Hakusho
Yusuke Urameshi and Keiko Yukimura are childhood friends. However, they are quite different when it comes to life priorities. Keiko is a hardworking student and an officer in their school while Yusuke is a troublemaker.
When Yusuke was invited to join a martial arts competition which will decide who will rule the demon world, Keiko patiently waited. Yusuke promised to return after 3 years and Keiko also made a vow of faithfulness.
The two of them eventually met and embraced each other again which was probably one of the most dramatic scene in Anime history.
1. Kaoru Kamiya and Kenshin Himura – Rurouni Kenshin
Kenshin Himura is the infamous Battousai the Man Slayer who played a major role in the Tokugawa era and killed thousands in the process. But the legendary samurai seems to fade away along with the blood sheds. He vowed never to kill again and live as a wanderer until he met Kaoru Kamiya, a Kendo teacher.
Kenshin saved her life from an avenging pupil and their friendship bloomed from that day on. It’s obvious that both of them have special feelings towards each other that exceed friendship.
Kaoru Kamiya accepts Kenshin’s past and will put anything at risk even her life just to make sure Kenshin won’t come back to his evil past. On the other hand, Kenshin Himura is deeply in love with Kaoru to the extent that he would kill again just to protect her from any danger. That’s definitely true love.
